Here is what Bethany had to say about the event…

To celebrate the adoption of our baby boy, we hosted a reception in his honor.  We celebrated with our closest friends and family, and had a delightful day.  The reception was held outdoors at our family’s farm.  The weather was gorgeous, the treats were sweet, and the memories will last a life time.  The main dessert table was nestled under a blossoming tree and paper fans and honeycomb balls were hung from the tree’s branches.  The front of the table was simply decorated with pastel yellow fringe garland.  The focal point of the dessert table was a lovely yellow buttercream two tiered cake decorated with a vertical ruffle design.  Cupcakes topped with little duckling rosette fans matched perfectly with the party invitation.  The little duckling cake pops were a guest favorite that day.  The little fondant topped petit fours and little duckling cake pops were simply adorable.  The cookies were made to match the invitation and turned out beautifully! Marshmallow pops were also served in a special dish passed down from my grandmother.   Also served were white & yellow meringues and white & yellow gumballs.  Milk was served with a dainty straw in vintage milk glass bottles.  The guest tables were decorated with a tall pastel yellow topiary centerpiece and had low white floral arrangements on either side of the tall topiary.  Each place was set with a simple white plate, yellow dot napkin, and darling polka dot cups.  I also hand crafted a wreath from yellow seersucker for Oliver’s special celebration.  And I dressed my boys in matching yellow gingham outfits.  It was the sweetest of celebrations and one that I will treasure in my heart forever.
