Here is what Sarah had to say about the event:

When my daughter turned two we needed a theme that fit her playful feminine spirit. She loved the “flies” in her butterfly book so I thought a butterfly garden would be perfect for my little outdoor girl. Lilac tulle, wooden and acorn accents added a out-doorsy touch. I wanted all the little girls to have butterfly wings with matching tutus but we were expecting mostly boys. So we made the boys “butterfly hunter” pith hats and gave them butterfly nets. We got delicious almond cupcakes from ABC Cake Shop with lilac frosting and topped them with matching cupcake toppers. The guests took home lilac and pink M&Ms and pink or purple bubbles. We also had purple butterfly suckers from Party City.
