My amazing sister in law is about to get married and we couldn’t wait to shower her with love, well wishes and of course gifts! You don’t need to break the bank when you are planning out the decor for a bridal shower. We DIY most of our decor with supplies that we were able to find at Oriental Trading Company. The best part about using these types of supplies is that you can literally customize EVERYTHING! Check out how we whipped up this romantically rustic and wine inspired bridal shower for one of my very favorite people!
Be sure to keep an eye out for some of our favorite bridal shower details:
-wine inspired rustic lanterns
-wine barrel card table
We were so very lucky to have the best group of gals to help us throw this shower for Michelle! My mother in law Maria, other sister in law Melissa, Michelle’s very best friend, Mackenzie and her new soon to be sister in law, Maureen, all helped to organize this rustic shower and everyone brought their own amazing touch!
Michelle picked a romantic, rustic theme for her wedding so we decided to play off that look for her bridal shower as well. Using her wedding colors of lavender, cream and sage, we added in a few wine details to fit our theme and to blend with our venue, a delicious Italian restaurant called From the Boot. We would highly recommend this venue, not only did they serve up amazing food, but was the perfect venue full of rustic details, wine barrels and of course WINE! The staff was friendly and incredibly helpful.
We wanted to greet guests with gorgeous centerpieces over flowing with fresh flowers and wine details. We created these rustic centerpieces ourselves with flower planter boxes, wine bottles, mason jars, corks and a calligraphy stencil, all of which we found at Oriental Trading Company.
We created 7 of these sweet centerpieces an included them at each guest table as well as at our favor station. Want to make these centerpieces for your next celebration? Check out our full step by step tutorial here to get the details!
Guests came bearing gifts and cards so we wanted to have a designated area for cards so they didn’t get lost in the shuffle. We set up a small wooden crate on an old wine barrel to contain the cards. We brought in a touch of flowers to this space using metal buckets and a mix of flowers.
Michelle and her soon to be husband love to cook together, so we had guests bring their favorite recipe and they placed them in a brand new recipe box for the soon to be newlyweds to enjoy for years to come.
I know when I’m at a shower, I can’t wait to dig into the cake! A custom cake table was set up and displayed a gorgeous cake, rustic lanterns, cookies and sweet pictures of the bride and groom as children.
The guests especially loved ooh-ing and ahh-ing over the pictures!
My dear friend Katie of Katie’s Creative Baking created a simple white buttercream cake for the shower. It was perfect!
The chocolate cake was layered with caramel and raspberry butter cream layers. It was as delicious as it was gorgeous!
Going simple with a cake is a great way to save a few dollars because you can easily add the decorations yourself! We added a few spare florals to the top and sides of the cake for a rustic wild flower look. Lastly, we placed a few corks we found at Oriental Trading to the cake to tie into the winery theme.
Beside the cake we also displayed themed cookies which were so pretty we almost couldn’t eat them…but we did, because you know…cookies. Katie created these for us as well.
We simply love the corks! Each cookie was amazing and she even took the time to personalize them for the bride and groom and their wedding date.
Also included on the cake table were a set of galvanized lanterns filled with themed decor. We found every single supply for this diy project at Oriental Trading Company, from the lanterns to the candles to the corks and even the personalized ribbon ! We added a few more flowers to finish of the look. The bride loved them some much she kept them to display at her wedding this upcoming June!

Lastly, we wanted to send guests home with the perfect favor. We know guests love to have something edible (or in this case, drinkable!) to bring home and miniature wine bottles were a favor we knew everyone would enjoy.
Mackenzie added the cutest personalized wine bottle labels to the front. We then dressed them up with a bot of personalized ribbon with the bride and grooms names and the wedding date embossed on it. We also added a fun metallic striped paper straw and the cutest little wine charms ever!
We found all of these cute additions at Oriental Trading Company as well. Want to make these adorable diy favors for your next celebration? Check out our full step by step tutorial here to get the details!
We all really enjoyed the day and celebrating our sister and friend during this special time in her life and we cant wait to celebrate more in June for her big day!
