It might still be cold and snowy here in the northeast, but we are ready to welcome warm weather, sunshine and Spring with these sweet and creative felt rosettes from Hand Crafted Parties! These darling rosettes are not only beautiful, but so versatile! Check out Lisa’s easy steps and creative uses below for these lovely and springy rosettes!
felt for flowers and leaves ( while you can use simple craft felt, Lisa suggests using a wool felt blend for better feel and look. Her favorite source is Benzie Design on Etsy)
hot glue gun
white floral wire
Start by cutting a 4 inch square or larger/smaller depending on your size preference). Trim the square into a circle–imperfect is just fine here! Starting at an outer edge, cut a spiral towards the center of the circle, keeping the width of the cut strip consistent at about 1/2 an inch. Stop cutting when you are at the center with a 1/2 inch circle left in the middle.
You can leave the floral wire off if you wish, but if you include it you can do fun things like wrap it around glass bottles for party drinks, or around miniature cups for treats or cupcakes. Twist it around the gathered top of a treat bag, wrap it around a gift tag, or punch two small holes in a piece of cardstock and thread the wires through, then twist on the back side to dress up signs, food tent cards, or labels.
We just adore the look of these darling rosettes added to a simple glass bottle. This would be just stunning for a spring of summer shower or party.
We also love how these petite rosettes adorn a basic treat cup, taking it from basic to beautiful!
You can even add these rosettes to a branch to create unique shower decor. Lisa paired the rosettes with faux pearls, feathers, ribbon and paper flags and glued the grouping onto a mini clothespin. When guests arrived at the party, they could select their own flower from a display of branches, write their name and clip it onto their outfit. They were a big hit and a fashionable way to remember the names of all the guests. You could also have guestts leave little notes on the paper and say something special for the mommy or bride to be!
