Every morsel of what I do revolves around the details that make a difference in an event. My customers are people who appreciate the finer details but often have no time to focus on them.Morsels is a custom event planning business, specializing in unique children’s parties, bridal and baby showers, milestone events and dinner parties. We are a one-stop shop that can handle every detail of your event, from theme development and invitation design to staging, design and baking. How do I know that details matter? Well, I’m the mom of two little girls who realized quite quickly that my biggest critics and champions were under the age of three. My background in marketing and design allows me the ability to produce invitations and collateral for all occasions and have a keen eye for staging and design. My passion has been and will always be for baking, which is why Morsels was a “piece of cake” decision for me.I go to great lengths to deliver events that save you time and are seamless, allowing you to focus on the details that matter the most – your family, friends and guests. I look forward to planning your next event!

I live in Sydney, Australia with my husband and two young children.
I’m a dessert table stylist with a soft spot for chocolates and all-things sweet!
I discovered my life’s passion two years ago when a friend of mine enlisted my
help to style her wedding dessert table. I fell in love with the concept!!
And therefore Sweetopia Events was born.

I’ve been known to be a perfectionist as I’m obsessed with every fine detail.
My goal is to deliver dessert tables and candy buffets that not only look
amazing but taste delicious too!

In my spare time, I love scouring the internet for vintage goods and papercraft projects,
watching a movie or spending time outdoors with my kids.

I believe you should live everyday like it’s your birthday…
Love an easy DIY idea that’s totally “doable”!
Don’t mind organising a party or gathering and designing some paper craft or invitations to help celebrate…
My weakness is bubbles and cake and cheese and crackers.
I’m also a fan of making a house a home with simple DIY ideas and gathering at the table with friends and family serving easy dinner/party food that anyone can help make.

Tomfo is all about living with love, that’s why I write as Sarah Preston, it’s my gran and nan’s names, and my blog is named after my beautiful cousin Tom.

Did I mention custom designs… I love that too, I’m a graphic designer by trade.
My shop has custom prints, designer cushions, family organizers and party printables … if you have an idea or need personalized party decor, get in touch…. I’d love to design something special for you too.
I’d love you to drop by, I usually have an easy DIY idea or free party printable on offer.

Come on over…Let’s Party…

I am so thrilled to be a contributor on this fantastic blog where I can share with you my passion for parties, food, interior styling, crafting inspiration and more.

You know, I believe everything in life has cause for celebration, from planning and organising my beautiful wedding to my gorgeous Dutch husband right through to organising my three beautiful children’s Christening and birthday parties.

My degree is in food science, consumer buying behaviour and psychology which I studied way back when cooking wasn’t as cool and trendy as it is now! After graduating I carried on with marketing and PR before working in corporate communications and events and then leaving to have my babies and be a stay at home mummy and finally setting up Poppies Parties.

Even before when I was a little dot of a thing I loved to cook, bake, make and create and was always making little outfits for my dolls or learning how to knit and sew with my mother. This love of all things creative has now spilled into my home life and into Poppies Parties and it is with pleasure that now I will share with you my favourite tips, my failsafe recipes and perhaps my own little creations I make for my own Poppies Parties parties alongside many other fabulous and exciting things.

My style is eccentrically British. I love vintage, I am always on the hunt for a beautiful piece or two to add to my ever-expanding props store or vintage tea set (so if you see anything let me know ok?!). I love chaos and a noisy fun house, but hate dirt and mess, but it’s just easier if I clean and tidy up as the kids just don’t do it right! I love big fat pale pink peonies in round vases, in fact it’s fair to say I hate more than one colour of flower in a vase – too messy! I only drink fresh coffee, I don’t even buy instant. I love food… I eat ALL the time. Literally my holidays are planned around what I can eat and where. I love big soft blankets on my bare legs. I am a book worm but am obsessed with magazines. I only ever have a real Christmas tree as I love the smell, and the soft bouncy pines.. until they drop all over the wooden floor and I stand on them in my bare feet (as I never wear slippers). My favourite season is autumn because of the smell of the cold fresh air. I love watching the sunrise outside with a cup of coffee wearing my husbands jumper. Oh and lastly I can still do the splits :)

So… that is me… very British, a little bit crazy, a whole lot of fun and a little bit lovely (well, so people tell me I am).

Poppies Parties was set up by myself a year ago to offer a unique spin on children’s parties. I felt children’s parties were not exciting or whimsical enough for my taste and I always wanted to make them bespoke to add a bit of extra loveliness. I believe that children are entitled to have as beautiful a party as the adults. Why can’t they have tulle pom poms and tonnes of fairy lights?! It was only when a friend said I should be doing events for kids as a career that I thought “alright I will…” and I did… and I love it! Although we are not JUST for children now we do a whole lotta parties..

We now offer many different styles of party, each with a running Poppies Parties promise that it will be beautiful, magical and full of memories. We also offer beautifully decorated belltents and offer a whole host of amazing hand picked props to compliment our parties as well as offering the obligatory face painting, arts and crafts and more

Poppies Parties really do put the art into parties and get people talking, we make any event one to remember. We are experts in events having organised and run large corporate events for a number of years and as parents we are a dab hand at handling children and making sure they are having fun and making memories.

After all we believe it’s more than a party… it’s a magical event

It’s lovely to meet you and hope you will enjoy what I bring to this blog.
